Esme shifted, now stretching her legs and hanging them over the side of bed, watching Rosalie. The mother-to-be seemed to be upset, if not almost afraid or reluctant about the whole situation. "It'll be fine, Rosie." Esme told her with a small smile.
"If you're afraid of being a mother, don't be." She said after another moment's silence. "You'll be good at it, I promise. And you have all of us here to help you as well, so you won't be alone." She said and pulled Rosalie into a brief hug. Pulling back, she looked at her daughter with another smile.
"Have you told Emmett yet? Or am I the only one to know?" She asked. She figured she was the first one to know, but Esme had been wrong before. But it did give an explination why Rosalie had been going out more often, and arguing with Emmett more. And her new attitude.

Rosie looked over at Esme with a slight smile on her face, "I just don't know if I'm ready for it now though. You know? I mean, I was ready so many years ago when I was human, but now that I'm was a vampire, I'm wasn't exactly sure about bring another one to life." She'd have to talk to Emmett about it, he may be able to talk happy thoughts about the baby into her head. She could only hope so.
"And it's not that I don't think that I'm going to be good at it, it's just that I wasn't too fond of learning that I was going to live for eternity and I'm just not sure if I really want to bring a baby into the world, knowing that they're going to have to live forever as well." Rosie then sighed softly, knowing that no matter what she did now or how much she complained about it, the baby was coming and that was that.
Rosie then felt the embrace of Esme's arms around her and she smiled softly. "You're the only one that knows right now," she said. "I haven't told Emmett just yet. I've been trying, but I can't spit it out. Everytime I try to, tell him, my attitude gets in the way and then a fight breaks out."

"It shouldn't be any different - bringing a human baby into the world, or bringing in a vampire baby. Just one won't age the same as the other." Esme said, trying to make her feel better again. Her daughter still seemed upset.
Esme frowned slightly, chewing on her lip as she thought. "Well, you should teach the baby how wonderful it is being a vampire and how wonderful it is you get to live forever." She continued with a slight shrug. She'd never had to really deal with this before, so she was attempting to come up with something to say, and it was proving to be a bit difficult.
"I'd offer to tell him for you, but I believe it's your place to tell him. If you want, I can get the others out of the house for a weekend, that way you and Emmett can talk about it as long as you'd like." Esme offered quietly with a small smile. "And eventually, it might be good to have a talk with Carlisle - I will tell him if you want. But it's your place to tell Emmett."

"I know that it's not going to be all that different, but I don't want it to have to live for ever and an eternity," Rosie explained. "If I can get over that, then I'll be a bit better with this whole thing. That and after I get to tell Emmett about the baby, I'll feel a lot better abuot everything. Not telling him is hard," she said to her mother. "I don't like keeping secrets from him, but it's not easy to tell him about it either," Rosie said. "It's such a horrible and guilty feeling, not telling him something this big and important." Rosie sighed, knowing that telling Emmett was going to be a challenge, but then Rosalie heard her mother's suggestion and how she would be able to help her.
"Would you really get everyone out of the house mother?" Rosie asked to be positive. "Everytime that I've tried to tell Emmett, I feel like everyone else is just listening in on the conversation, which makes it much harder to tell him. And that's when I start in with the attitude, then storm off into the night to go hunting," she said to her mother. "I'd prefer if you can get everyone out of the house as soon as possible, because I'm starting to run out of fights to pick at with Emmett," Rosie said, laughing a short giggle. "And I'll tell daddy as soon as I tell Emmett. I really wanted Emmett to be the first to know about the baby," Rosie said to her mother.

"It's fine - you can tell him when you're ready." Esme said. "Telling him might make everything easier. Telling Emmett and telling Alice are the two people it's going to be hardest to tell - Alice because you know she'll want to throw a baby shower and instantly go shopping for baby stuff." She said with a small laugh.
Esme nodded. "Of course sweetheart. I can have everyone out of the house tomorrow, since it's Friday. I'll talk to Carlisle and we'll arrange a hunting trip up into Canada for the weekend - and since it's supposed to be sunny, you can all afford to miss school tomorrow anyway." She said, smiling. "Is that soon enough? Or would you rather me just kick them all out of the house when they get back later today?" She laughed again at the thought, and the possible look on their faces.

Rosie looked at Esme with a rather blank stare, knowing that Alice was going to go quite overboard when she found out about the baby, her niece. "I don't even want to think about how crazy Alice is going to be reacting when she hears the news, but at least I know that she's going to be happy and excited about it. What if Emmett isn't all for this?" Rosie questioned curiously. "What if Emmett wants nothing to do with the baby?" Rosie said, starting to put herself into a bit of a panic. Now Rosie's was in a bit more of a panic about telling Emmett than she was this morning.
"No, no, Friday is fine. Yeah, Tomorrow is good. I have to calm myself down a little bit more now before I tell Emmett anything," she said to her mother. "After thinking about Emmett maybe not wanting the baby, then I'm not sure if I can tell him tonight," she said. "Though, if it's sunny, I'll definitely stay in the house, forcing me to tell Emmett everything about the baby and such," she said. "But you have to promise not to tell anyone while you're taking everyone hunting," she said.

"Rosalie, honey, calm down. Please. You're going to throw yourself into a panic and it's not going to help." Esme said quietly, placing a hand on her shoulder in an attempt to calm her down. "I'm sure Emmett will love to have a baby, so you shouldn't worry about it."
She nodded, listening to Rosalie ramble off about doing it tomorrow, and having to calm herself down. "Alright, I'll get everything in order and tell them to pack for the weekend." She said, nodding. "We'll leave in the morning, though I'm going to need to convince Emmett to stay here, because you know how he likes to hunt the bears - and there's plenty of them where we'll be going." Esme sighing. "And you know I won't tell a soul, Rosie."
